Hi, my name is "Watson" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's July Pet of the Month. I am a nine-year-old, black & white Jack Russell Terrier. I have been a patient of Largo Veterinary Hospital since I was a puppy. Everyone thinks I am a mammas boy. My favorite treats are lean treats. My mom loves me so much that she even gets up with me at 6:00am on the weekends. Once my owners even dressed me up to look like Dogzilla. I like to spend my spare time hunting for lizards.

Ernie

Hi, my name is "Ernie" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's June Pet of the Month. I am a 7-year-old Black Labrador Retriever who gets my mom out of bed everyday to exercise. My favorite treats are jerky treats. I get to go to the park almost every day to play, and I love to fetch and catch toys. I am so special that I even have 2 beds of my own to sleep in.

Hi, my name is "Lady" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's May Pet of the Month. I am a seven-year-old, female Cocker Spaniel who loves everyone. My favorite treat is a little steak, but don't tell Dr. Lutz. Most people think that dogs don't get along with cats, but I like cats! When my mom sings, I sing and howl along with her. Every night I get to sleep with mom since I am so special. I have been a patient of Dr. Lutz since I was a puppy 7 years ago.

Hi, my name is "Sugar" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's April Pet of the Month. I am a two-year-old, female Golden Retriever who loves to play with everyone, especially children. Once I got so excited that I slid right into the clear sliding glass door and you could hear a big thump. I just had my teeth cleaned in February and now I have pearly whites! Some say that I am a big baby because I whine to get what I want. I like any kind of treats and at night I get to sleep in the room with the kids.

"Ivy" Klein -- March 2007 Pet of the Month

Hi my name is "Ivy" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's March Pet of the Month. I am a three-year-old, Silver, Maine Coon Cat. One year ago I had to have a "second" ovariohysterectomy. I was first spayed in 2004 by another hospital but still continued to have heat cycles. Last February, Dr. Lutz performed an exploratory surgery on me and found one on my ovaries still there and he removed it. My favorite treat is Tuna Fish. Once when I was playing I got caught mid-air between an amore and the wall. My owner loves me so much that she would do anything to assure my happiness and well-being. I have two sisters "Violet" and "Birdie" who I love very much. I am so spoiled that I even get to sleep on the top of my mom's head at night.

"Cayla" Kern -- February 2007 Pet of the Month

Hi, my name is "Cayla" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's February Pet of the Month. I am a 10-year-old Mix who was adopted from the SPCA. Some say that I was lucky to have found my owner, but as it turns out she was just as lucky to have found me. One night in January my owner was watching TV in the bedroom and I was snoozing nearby. Suddenly in the background I heard several rather indistinct heavy thuds or dull booms. My ears perked up immediately and I jumped to my feet ready to do battle. I ran to the front dog and wouldn't stop barking. The next morning when my owner got up and walked past the front door she noticed that it was somewhat ajar with a wide gap showing between it and the inside molding and framing. The molding was torn away from the wall, ripping off the sheet rock painted wall and when the door was opened everything fell apart. Our house was the target of home invasion by someone kicking in the front door and I had prevented the intruder from coming in the house and harming my mom.

Hi, my name is "Misty" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's January Pet of the Month. I am an 11-year-old, female toy poodle. I am so special because I love everyone I meet, even vets. When I meet strangers, I bark and wag my tail at the same time. When I get to go to the vet, I get so excited since Dr. Lutz is my all time favorite doctor. My favorite treats include eggs, beef and bananas. At night I get to sleep with mom or on the couch. My mom even thinks that in an emergency my dad would save me first since I don't talk back.

December 2006 Pet of the Month -- "Kinkee" Houser Kerrigan

Hi, my name is "Kinkee" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's December Pet of the Month. I am a 14-year-old short-haired Dachshund. When I first came to Largo Veterinary Hospital as a puppy I was very sick. Dr. Lutz even took me home for the night and I slept near his bed because he wanted to make sure I was going to be a healthy puppy. Even though I'm 14-years-old I still act like a puppy. I have toys all over the house but only play with 25% of them. My owners love me so much that I have become so spoiled rotten that they live in "my" house now. My favorite treats are Cheezits, but I am not allowed to have them anymore because I am on a diet. I get to sleep on everybody laps -- even strangers. Life in my house revolves around me and that is the way it should be.

November 2006 Pet of the Month -- "Roxie" Gutshall

Hi, my name is "Roxie" and I'm Largo Veterinary Hospital's November Pet of the Month. I am 15-year-old female Jack Russell Terrier who came to my current owner after living in 3 different homes, 2 states and 2 families. I am a very well adjusted dog. My favorite treat is a little smoked turkey, which I get daily with my pills. My mom left one time for the day and forgot to close the front door -- so I just stayed right by the door in case anyone tried to come in and protected my house. Another time, my back gate was left open I stayed and protected my house and this was at night. Even though I am a Jack Russell I never like to walk on a leash. I walk about one block and then I just sit down. My mom takes such good care of me, she is always getting me check ups, since I've gotten older and have had several health problems.

"Heidi" Brownell October 2006 Pet of the Month

Hi, my name is Heidi Brownell, and I'm Largo Veterinary Hospital's Pet of the Month. I am a 12-year-old tabby and white domestic shorthair. I am a unique kitty because I love to play with kids. My favorite thing to do is help my mom when she is making the bed. I am so spoiled, even though I won't admit to it, that my mom lets me sleep in the bed with her at night.

"Marley" Norris September 2006 Pet of the Month

Hi, my name is "Marley" Norris and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's September Pet of the Month. I am an 11-year-old Black Labrador Retriever. I am such a happy dog and give unconditional love that it infects everyone around me. Don't tell Dr. Lutz or Dr. Matt but my favorite treat is pancakes. Sometimes my dad even makes me pancakes in the Buggs Bunny waffle iron. I share my home with 5 kitties and my sis -- "Lilly Mae" a Lab-Mix, but everyone knows that I am the top dog.

When my mom and dad brought me home for the first time I went right over and ate all the cat food and had a very swollen belly. I am so special that at night I get to sleep in between mommy and daddy.

Hi, my name is "Snowball" and I am Largo Veterinary Hospital's August Pet of the Month. I'm a 4-year old Maltese who enjoys running in circles. My favorite treats are bacon strips. At night I get to sleep in bed with my mom & dad. Don't you think I'm adorable?
